My New Pattern for Dear Stella!

I'm so excited to announce my new pattern for Dear Stella. As you know, I work closely with several fabric companies, designing patterns to feature their newest fabric collections. Bear Mountain is designed for the Cold Comfort fabric collection by Dear Stella.

Bear Mountain finishes at 50" x 50" and would make a lovely wall hanging or large crib quilt. You can purchase Bear Mountain in my store. Take advantage of my new pattern debut and receive 20% off Bear Mountain with the code NEWPAT18. Hurry! The code expires April 21st.

I'm also excited to announce that my Keepsake exclusive pattern, Cherry Churn Dash, is being featured in their latest catalog and email newsletters!

Cherry Churn Dash is just one of the patterns I designed for RJR's Sugar Berry collection. Berry Picnic and Picnic Under the Stars are available in my shop. You can also use the code NEWPAT18 to receive 20% off Berry Picnic and Picnic Under the Stars this week only!

Wednesday Wait Loss 46

Welcome to Wednesday Wait Loss!

This week I've got something special to show you! I just finished this adorable table runner for Keepsake Quilting! I call the pattern Cherry Churn Dash, and you'll be able to get it from Keepsake Quilting soon.

The pattern features the Sugar Berry fabric collection by flaurie & finch for RJR Fabrics. I mostly stitched in the ditch to quilt it because I wanted the fabrics to shine. I also added a curly vine pattern in the red parts. For the border, I quilted straight lines 1/2" apart.

Here are the quilt details:

Wednesday Wait Loss

This week I want to feature Nancy @ Grace and Peace Quilting. Nancy shared an amazing road trip that every quilter would love to take! She saw quilts in the Eisenhower Museum, visited the International Quilt Study Museum, and the Seeley Mansion! She finished it all off with a stop at Missouri Star. She even met Marianne Fons! What a dream trip! You have to read all about it.

New Quilt Patterns!

I’ve been hard at work designing and writing patterns as you know, and I wanted to show off my new ones! First up is Yum, Yum! which features the Spooky Snacks collection by RJR Studio.

When I saw all those yummy Halloween treats in the Spooky Snacks collection, I immediately pictured little monsters munching them all up! So I designed this little table runner (14” x 31”) that’s easy to finish using fusible applique.

Don’t be scared! <grin> If you want to make Yum, Yum! you’ll find the pattern for sale in my shop.

My other new pattern is being offered as a free download on my web site and on Windham’s. The pattern is called All Cooped Up, and it features The Hen House collection by Whistler Studios for Windham Fabrics.

The fabrics in the collection immediately made me think of little hen houses. Don’t you just love chickens and chicken fabrics? I know I do! Even though I grew up in the city far away from any farms, I've always loved chickens.

By the way, All Cooped Up finishes at 60” x 60” and is foundation paper pieced.

The pattern offers the quilt in two different colorways because I couldn't decide if I liked the red or the black version better. If you make Yum, Yum! or All Cooped Up (or any of my quilt patterns) I'd love to see it! Be sure to link up to Wednesday Wait Loss so we can all enjoy.

Both fabric collections should be in stores soon.

I’ve got other patterns coming out soon and you can be sure I’ll share them when they do!

Changes to My Blog and More!

Hi everyone! This week has pretty exciting, what with the New Quilters Blog Hop going on! I thought I’d end the week by introducing you to some of the changes I’ve made to my blog.

First, I’ve added my quilt finishes! This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, but just didn’t have the time for. The New Quilters Blog Hop was just what I needed to get this job knocked off the list. I hope you enjoy! Just click the Finishes menu above, and choose 2016 or 2017. I’ll add earlier finishes when I have time.

I’ve also consolidated a couple of older menus into one—Quilts. On that menu you’ll find links to my quilt pattern shop, a gallery of the quilt patterns you’ll find in my book, and some free patterns. You’ll also find any pattern corrections and wholesale discounts for bulk orders on the Quilts menu.

I’ve also added a link to my private Facebook group in my Announcement bar to make it easier to find. If you haven’t already, I hope you’ll join us!

In addition to various ways to follow me, the bottom of the page includes my submenus. You can easily find out where I’m speaking next, the linky parties I frequent, and my quilt alongs. And hey, if you need to reach me, you’ll find my email address down there as well!

I’ve cleaned up my sidebar to make it easier to find what you need.

The title of this post implies something more, and here it is! As you know, I create patterns for fabric companies. Here are two of my latest, and here are the fabrics Windham and RJR sent for me to make them!

Windham also sent these along for me to play with. Ummmm. My design brain is working overtime! After I decide what I’m going to make with these, I may have a giveway to celebrate. So stay tuned! In the meantime, don’t forget to link up next Wednesday for my Wednesday Wait Loss linky party as I’m having a giveaway there for linking up over the next few weeks.
