Wednesday Wait Loss 116

Welcome to Wednesday Wait Loss. Please share what you’ve been working on!

First let me tell you what I've been up to

Last week I released a new pattern! Cane Weave was designed using the Are You Kitten Me fabric collection from Dear Stella. Cane Weave is on sale in my store until Saturday at midnight EST, so hurry there to get your copy!

Click here to read all about my pattern release.

Yesterday, Block 4 in the Sew Let’s QAL was released. What a fun block! Click here to read all about it and to learn where you can download the free pattern.

I finished quilting my Island Batik challenge for April, and I’ll bind it and get a post up on Saturday. The challenge this month was to use our new Accuquilt Go! cutters to make a baby quilt. I had such fun! Here’s a sneak peek at the quilting.

The rest of the week I spent with my husband and daughter, celebrating Easter. I hope you had a wonderful holiday!

Well, that was my week!

Now let's see who made this week's feature

Here are my favorite posts from last week. Since I was encouraging you to link up spring quilts, those were the ones that caught my eye.

First up is Nancy @ Grace and Peace Quilting, who shared her Spring Joyful Barn Star. I love the quilting on this!

Next is Vasudha @ Storied Quilts, who shared her April Flowers quilt. I love the colors in this!

Lisa shared several spring quilts on Flicker: Bunny Bag, Daisies, and House Wren. These are so cute, especially that fat little birdy!

Although it’s not spring related, I want to close with Frederique @ Quilting Patchwork Applique, who shared her plan to help after the fire at Notre Dame Cathedral. Pay her a visit and learn how you can help too.

Congratulations ladies! Here's an I Was Featured badge for your blogs or to simply print out and wear with pride! Thank you for supporting my blog!

Welcome to Wednesday Wait Loss. Please share what you’ve been working on!

First let me tell you what I've been up to

Last week I released a new pattern! Emerald Lodge was designed using the Elk Lodge fabric collection from Island Batik. Emerald Lodge is on sale in my store until Saturday at midnight EST, so hurry there to get your copy!

Click here to read all about my pattern release.

On Monday, I finished a bee block! Yeah me! Read all about my online bee and learn where you can get the pattern here.

Also on Monday I went into work to find the sample quilt I’d made from the Island Batik Flea Market collection—a quilt I call Belfast Market—on display! I made Belfast Market for last year’s Fall Market, and since then it’s been on tour, traveling from quilt store to quilt store as part of a trunk show for the Flea Market fabric collection.

It was so cool to see it at Always in Stitches, and to see the other quilts traveling with the trunk show. Click here to read more about Belfast Market. Click here to purchase the pattern.

Well, that was my week!

Now let's see who made this week's feature

Here are my favorite posts from last week.

First up is Tami @ Thrift Shop Commando, who’s blog name should tell you how much she loves to make the most of things most people discard. Tami posted two seminole pieced borders she acquired recently in an online orphan block adoption. Isn’t that a cool idea? Got blocks you’ll never put together in a quilt? Why not pass them onto to someone who will?

Next is Frederique @ Quilting Patchwork Applique who shared a tutorial on pressing properly. Her post is worth a read if you aren’t sure how to press your quilt blocks properly.

Next, Nancy @ Grace and Peace Quilting linked up a fascinating post on how to buy fabric at IKEA. I mean who knew? <wink>

Next is Gail @ Quilting Gail who linked up this awesome retreat bag! Visit her blog to learn where to get the pattern.

Finally, Lisa Marie linked up the cutest cork purse! No, it’s not cork fabric but fabric printed with corks. <grin> I really love how this looks!

Congratulations ladies! Here's an I Was Featured badge for your blogs or to simply print out and wear with pride! Thank you for supporting my blog!

Welcome to Wednesday Wait Loss. Please share what you’ve been working on!

First let me tell you what I've been up to

Last week I recapped how I did on my March goals (pretty good as it turns out). I also posted my April goals. It’s a long list, with a lot of quilt making and pattern writing for Quilt Market. Wish me luck!

Here’s Zora, helping me write Merry Little Christmas a while back. Perhaps she can help me again!

On Tuesday, I hosted Block 3 of the Sew Let’s QAL. Haven’t joined us yet? It’s not too late—and you don’t have to make a quilt to enter our giveaways! Click here to learn more about the quilt along.

Well, that was my week!

Now let's see who made this week's feature

Here are my favorite posts from last week.

First up is Dawn @ Dawnyk Designs, who linked up her OMG which was to make a hand pieced, hand quilted item. This is her project, a Moda Matchbox quilt. We carry these at the shop and they are so cute! Everything you need is included in the box, including embroidery floss for quilting!

Next is Turid @ Den Syende Himmel, who finished this gorgeous hand pieced, hand quilted La Passion quilt. What an achievement!

Next is Nancy @ Grace and Peace Quilting shared her Meadowland QAL quilt. I loved how she shared her inspiration for her color scheme. The result was this gorgeous quilt. Visit her blog to learn more!

Finally, Karen @ Quilts Etc. shared her applique projects and her next project, a signature quilt. Stop by her blog to learn how you can share your signature with her!

Welcome to Wednesday Wait Loss. Please share what you’ve been working on!

First let me tell you what I've been up to

Basically, I’ve been working this past week on one project and on Sunday, I got my March Island Batik challenge done! I really like how this one turned out.

The challenge was to be inspired by a vintage design to create something modern, and I chose the Double Wedding Ring pattern. You can read more about my Wedding Bands quilt here.

Since getting the quilt done, I’ve been organizing my goals for April and getting to work on them. I’ll be reviewing my March goals and publishing my April goals later this week but for now I can show you this—-progress on the Star Trek quilt I’m making for my daughter!

Last month, I finished the first section of the Enterprise.

On Tuesday I started working on Section 2, and quickly got this far. Woot!

Well, that was my week!

Now let's see who made this week's feature

Here are my favorite posts from last week.

First up is Kathleen @ Kathleen McMusing, who also finished her March Island Batik challenge. She calls this Pretty in Pink and man it sure is!

Next is Works4me19, who shared her Owl block from the Fall into QAL I hosted last fall along with my Partners in Design. She calls this her Chocolate Owl. Isn’t it adorable?

Finally, I’d like to welcome Vasudha @ Storied Quilts who shared her Island Batik March challenge quilt as well! Vasudha calls this Bali Sunrise, and it’s inspired by the classic log cabin block. I just love those colors!

Be sure to drop by her blog and welcome Vasudha to our Wednesday Wait Loss group. Also, be sure to congratulate her on her 2nd Blogiversary!
