Wednesday Wait Loss 131

Welcome to Wednesday Wait Loss. Please share what you’ve been working on!

First let me tell you what I've been up to

I’ve had a busy week.

I finished my Island Batik July challenge quilt and published it on Wednesday, after my regular Wednesday Wait Loss post. Click here to read all about it.

On Monday I published the schedule for the Island Batik Beat the Heat Blog Hop, which is happening all month long. Don’t miss the great giveaways, fabulous batiks, and gorgeous quilts! Click the link to read my post and to enter to win a precut batik collection.

Yesterday I published a new pattern to celebrate the batik collection being featured on Day 2 of the Beat the Heat Blog Hop. I’m having a sale on the pattern this week. Don’t miss it! Click here to learn more.

Well that was my week!

Now let's see who made this week's feature

As usual, several quilt projects caught my eye.

First up is Kat @ Scrapbox Quilts, who is participating in the 365 Day Quilt Along Project, in which she is learning a new quilting motif every day. The quilt along uses ruler work, which is what caught my eye. You guys know how I’m trying to learn that myself right now.

The resulting quilt from what she’s learned so far is awesome! Visit her blog to learn more about the quilt along.

Nancy @ Grace and Peace Quilting shared Wallflower, a stunning quilt in solids. Apparently twirling your quilt is a thing now, so she shared a photo of that too. Lovely photo—-it’s easy to see why this is a thing. Gotta try that myself!

Finally, I’d like to share Kathleen @ Kathleen McMusing’s July Island Batik challenge. Our challenge last month was to play with Aurifil thread and man she sure did!

Congratulations ladies! Here's an I Was Featured badge for your blogs or to simply print out and wear with pride! Thank you for supporting my blog!

Our Next Giveaway!

Our next giveaway is September, so gather up your quilts! Since September is the month most kids return to school, let’s focus on learning. What I’ll be looking for is a quilted project that features some kind of technique that’s new to you, much like my Island Batik June challenge was to me. So for two chances you’ll need to link up your project and leave something in the comments or on your blog post that explains what the technique was and what you learned from trying it.

So dig through your quilts and prepare your stories. Or if you’re so inclined, select something new and try it! We’d love to share in your quilting journey.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!
