July is sleeping and it’s time to recap my goals for the month. How did I do?
Make progress on a quilt for my daughter. As part of a challenge for the quilt store where I work, I’m making a Star Trek quilt for my daughter one step at a time.
This month I needed to make the last two applique blocks. Got them done!
Make a quilt using three different weights of Aurifil thread for the July Island Batik Artsy Fartsy challenge. The challenge was to create an art quilt that used at least three different weights of Aurifil thread.
I had a hard time coming up with the exact idea of what I wanted to do for this one, but I love how the final quilt turned out! Click here to read all about it.
Begin quilting the January Island Batik Getaway Blog Hop challenge This is the quilt I was working when my sister passed, so I’ve never completed it. I wanted to quilt it but didn’t get to it.
Make the last Bee Inspired block. I belong to an online bee and I’ve been slowly making the 2018 blocks for each month’s Queen. I’ve got only one left and it’s for Kate @ Smiles From Kate. Somehow I didn’t get to this one either. Sigh.
Write one new pattern for Island Batik. I had three quilts in the Island Batik Spring Market booth, and needed to write the patterns for them. I’ve only got one pattern left to write but didn’t get to it. I did finish the edits on three other quilt patterns though.
Write a pattern for My Little Star. The quilt was created for the April Island Batik challenge, and I’ve had a lot of requests for the pattern so I set a goal to write the pattern this month. Didn’t get to it though.
Make a shop sample for Always in Stitches I fell in love with these fabrics and decided to try to make a sample for the quilt store where I work. I’ve gotten it cut out and I’m trying to piece the blocks now.
I had 12 things to do this month and got 6 done. 50% ugh. Gotta do better!
How did you do this month in meeting your quilty goals? Hopefully, better than me. <grin>
