It’s March and time to list my quilting goals for the month!
Make progress on a quilt for my daughter. The Star Trek quilt I’m making for my daughter is being done in 12 parts, over the course of a year. The goal for March is to piece half of the large Enterprise block that’s featured in the center of the quilt. The April goal is to piece the other half.
Make a Vintage Reimagined quilt for the March Island Batik challenge. The challenge this month is to be inspired by a vintage quilt to make something new. I have several ideas floating in my head but nothing concrete just yet.
Finish the January Island Batik Getaway Blog Hop challenge—You can read about the challenge here, and why I haven’t gotten it done just yet. My goal here is modest: to finish the top by fusing the appliques in place. If I can get them edge-stitched too that’ll be a plus. If I can also get the quilt quilted I’ll be ecstatic!
Create a new pattern for Timeless Treasures. Timeless Treasures recently selected one of my designs for a free download pattern, so my goal is to get it written and submitted for publishing. The pattern uses fabrics from a Quarter 2 2019 collection, so I hope to be able to show it to you in April.
Host two blocks for the Sew Let’s QAL. This year, we’re breaking the quilt along into sections and I’m officially hosting Section 2, which means I’ll be making each of the blocks in Section 2. However, I’ve decided to unofficially host all the blocks, offering tips and tutorials, even if I don’t make every single block. So my goal for March is to host Blocks 1 and 2, and to create tutorials for the required techniques.
Those are my goals for March! Wish me luck!
