Welcome to Wednesday Wait Loss. I can’t wait to see what you’ve been working on!
First let me tell you what I've been up to
First, my apologies for the late post. As you know, I’m spending what time I can at the hospital with my sister as she navigates her cancer journey. That plus my quilting business is making time a hard thing to find. Still, I love you guys and wanted this post to be up Wednesday morning as usual, but oh well. Sometimes things don’t always go as planned.
I’m happy to report though that I’m making great progress on my December Island Batik Challenge quilt! I’ve got the top done and now it’s on to the quilting. Here’s a sneak peek.
Can you tell that the challenge is called Whimsical and Wonky?
In addition, the Island Batik Getaway Blog Hop started on Monday. My day is coming up next week so I’m working on that quilt as well. No sneak peeks though until the big day! Be sure to visit the Ambassadors participating this week and enter their giveaways! Click here to learn more.
Finally, something arrived in the mail the other day that made me big time happy. Can’t tell you what it is just yet but I can tell you that it’s contents made me feel like Sarah in Love Actually (at this moment and not later in the film, which was kinda a bummer).
So that was my week.
Now let's see who made this week's feature
First up is Nancy @ Grace and Peace Quilting, who shared her 2018 Review. Do yourself a favor and jump over to her blog and check out all the amazing things Nancy made last year—including a customized calendar of her own quilts!
Next is Abbie @ Sparkle On, who shared her Modern Matisse quilt. So cool! Abbie also shared a little kitty catnip toy she made from fabric scraps. I just couldn’t resist that cute kitty! <grin> I’m thinking I’m going to have make some of these for Zora.
Next, I’d like to introduce Melody @ Two Maker Chicks, who’s new to our little group. Melody is blogging about the Monthly Color Challenge by Patterns by Jen, and this is her version of the January block.
Finally is Ann @ Brown Paws Quilting, who shared a quilt that I feel represents Wednesday Wait Loss completely. Yep. Ann’s quilt is now the model for Wednesday Wait Loss persistence! Ann started her quilt about a decade ago, and well I’ll let her tell the story about what happened along the way, but anyway now it’s done and I couldn’t be prouder of her! Awesome job Ann!
Congratulations ladies! Here's an I Was Featured badge for your blogs or to simply print out and wear with pride! Thank you for supporting my blog!
So who won the giveaway?
If you linked up last week on Wednesday Wait Loss, you got a chance to win a prize. i switched things up and decided to offer up to three prizes depending on how many linkups we had. I was so thrilled to see so many linkups! Thanks you guys!
I know I was slow to visit but I also know you guys understand why. Just know that I’m oh so appreciative of your support right now.

We had 25 linkups last week so that means I’m giving away all three prizes!
As usual, I assigned numbers to each entry and then let Random.org select the winners. First it selected…
