Welcome to Wednesday Wait Loss! Please share photos of quilty projects you're working on and you'll get the encouragement you need to stop waiting and to finish your quilt projects!
First let me tell you what I've been up to
Last week I was featured on QuilterChic! Did you miss my cute Halloween mini quilt? You can still download the free pattern. Click here to read my post.
I decided to give this little mini to my daughter, to decorate her college apartment. To help display it, I bought a frame. She came home this weekend and I surprised her with it.
Here are the quilt details:
22" x 22"
Pattern: Shadow Quilt by Debora @ Studio Dragonfly
Fabrics: Batik and print scraps
Batting: Quilter's Dream Request
Piecing Thread: Aurifil 50 wt. 5011
Quilting Thread: Mettler Metrosene 100 wt. #1091 (#0554) Deep Aqua
Pieced and Quilted by: Jennifer Fulton
Let's see who made this week's feature
We had a lot of great link ups last week, but a few really caught my eye. First up is a Firefly block by Sue @ SevenOaks Street Quilts. Visit Sue to find out where you can get this cute pattern.
Next up is Turid @ Sen Syende Himmel, who linked up this adorable Cherry Zoo mini-quilt. I love these colors! Visit Turid's blog to learn more.
Next there is Deana @ Daughters of Dorinda, who linked up this adorable horses in the barn baby quilt. I really love this pattern, by Buggy Barn. Visit Deana's blog to see this close up.
Finally, there is Yvonne @ Sew Yummy, who linked up two quilt tops ready for quilting. I really love these simple, striking quilts! Drop by her blog to encourage a fast finish to these!
Congratulations Sue, Turid, Deana and Yvonne! Here's an I Was Featured badge for your blogs.
Our Next Special Link Up is Coming!
Our next special link up is September 19th, and we're celebrating Back to School quilts. I'll let you define what "Back to School" means to you, but I'm thinking apples, books, numbers, letters, graduation quilts, chalk boards, and so on. While you're gathering quilts, gather up some stories of school experiences that link your quilts to the Back to School theme.
Time to link up your works in progress and recent quilty finishes!
Here are some quick reminders about the linky party:
This linky is all about encouragement, so please visit a few of the links and leave a comment.
If you’re uploading a photo from your phone/computer, leave a comment below that explains your project. And for the rest of us, please reply to a few of these comments leaving words of encouragement for a quick finish.
