Wednesday Wait Loss 71

Welcome to Wednesday Wait Loss!

I've had a busy week. First, I finally finished my May Island Batik challenge--a pillow! Or in this case, two pillows that together make one dog gone cute dachshund. You can read all about it here.

Next, I made Block 3 in the Fall into a Quilt Along. I'm one of the block designers and also a host. I'd love for you to quilt along with us! Read all about Block 3 here.

Finally, I'm gathering quilts for a presentation and trunk show at my local quilt guild on Thursday. My talk is entitled "Try It You'll Like It: Becoming a Brave Quilter," and it's about my need to push myself and try new things with my quilting. I'd love to see you if you happen to be in the area. You can learn more here.

That's what I've been up to this week.! Let's see who made this week's feature.

This week I have several features. First, I'd like to share a scrappy star tutorial by Turid @ Den Syende Himmel. It's a great tutorial and a really cute block! Jump over to Turid's to learn how to make some for yourself.

Next, I want to share this cute block, which is part of the It's a Wild Life BOM. The original pattern is on the left. On the right is Melva @ Melva Loves Scraps' version. While I think the original is adorable, I loved reading about Melva's version and it's meaning to her and you will too! Jump over to Melva's and give her post a read.

Finally, you should visit Gail @ Quilting Gail to learn about her trip to several Newfoundland quilt stores, and to learn the origin of this wonderful quilt rock!

Congratulations ladies! Here's an I Was Featured badge for your blogs.
