Welcome you to Wednesday Wait Loss! I encourage you to share your quilty works in progress with us and get the encouragement you need to stop "waiting" to finish them!
Last week I finished my April Island Batik challenge. April's challenge was to create a new design inspired by vintage quilts. I really enjoyed this challenge--you can read all about my "Broken Roads" quilt by clicking here.
I also did some secret sewing for a quilt bound for Market. Here's a sneak, showing the templates I used for the quilting of this sweet baby quilt. The fabric is darling and should arrive in quilt stores beginning in June. I promise to show you more after Market! The collection, by the way, is from Timeless Treasures.
Finally, if you missed it, I announced yesterday a new quilt along with with my friends in Partners in Design. We brought you an awesome Christmas quilt along last year (called I Wish You a Merry Quilt Along) and are so excited to present our new Fall quilt along beginning in two weeks. So gather the fall fabrics from your stash and get ready to quilt along with us!
Did I mention prizes? Yep, you'll get a chance to win awesome stuff just by making a block! Don't miss the fun. Learn more by clicking here.
Well, that's what I've been up to! Let's see who made this week's feature.
This week I found three special stories I wanted to share.
First up is Anja @ Anja Quilts, who shared the vintage blocks she's making for the Sewcial Bee Sampler. There's something so lovely about these classic designs! Jump over to her blog to learn more.
Next up is Denise @ For the Love of Geese, who shared her finished hexie quilt. Or is it? Visit Denise and help her decide.
Finally, Jan @ Cocoa Quilts shared her struggles to make two quilts for her grandchildren. The end result though was worth it don't you think? Please visit Jan to let her know what you think.
Congratulations Anja, Denise, and Jan! Thank you so much for sharing your quilts with us. Here's an I Was Featured badge for your blogs.
