Welcome to Wednesday Wait Loss, where you'll get rid of whatever's making you wait--and not finish--your quilting projects!
This week I made progress on several fronts. First, I finished my block for Paige @ Quilted Blooms, who is sharing Queen honors with me this month for Bee Inspired. Paige asked for a simple block using modern novelty fabrics. She's calls the block "Modern I Spy."
Since the block is so simple, Paige asked us to make more than one if we could. I made three and they were fun! Paige is planning on using the blocks to make charity quilts for teenagers.
In addition, I cut fabrics for this month's Island Batik "Try a New Technique" challenge and started working on the blocks. Here's my fabric pull. The batik collection is Plum Delicious.
I also finished my rep sample for Island Batik. I can't show you it though because the fabric won't be released until Spring Market.
In addition, I did some secret sewing for an upcoming blog hop. Here's the fabric pull. No surprises here--these are some of my favorite colors.
Well that's what I've been up to! Let's see who made the weekly feature.
Before introduce the feature, I want to give everyone a heads-up! Last month's special Valentine's link up was so special, I've decided to continue that once a month. So for this month, I've decided the special link up will be next week, on March 14th. That week, I invite you all to link up anything green (for St. Patrick's Day of course), pastel colored (for Spring) or full of bunnies (for Easter). So get your green pastel colored bunny quilts ready to link up <grin>.
Now for the feature. This week I want to welcome a new member to our little group, Quilting Tangent. She linked up for the first time last week--her first hand-pieced quilt! And look, it's two-sided!
Isn't it gorgeous?
Congratulations Quilting Tangent! Here's an I Was Featured badge you can print out.
Well now it's time to link up! If you need help linking up, click here for detailed step by steps.
