Welcome to Wednesday Wait Loss. I can’t wait to see what you’ve been working on!
First let me tell you what I've been up to
As you know, I’ve been working all month to finish three quilts for the Island Batik Spring Market booth and traveling trunk show. On Christmas Eve our post office was open for a few hours in the morning and with the help of my husband and my daughter, I got two of the quilts mailed off. That left one to finish.
As I write this, I’ve got the last quilt pieced and half quilted. In order to get it to Island Batik on time, I figure I need to mail it off tomorrow at the latest. So after I publish this, finishing that last quilt will be the only thing on my agenda today.
Here’s a sneak peak of the fabrics in quilt number 3. Aren’t those colors warm and lovely?
Well that was my week. I took off most of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to wrap gifts, cook a Christmas ham and side dishes, and to celebrate! (Yes, I did quilt a little too.) What did you do this week? Please tell me in the comments.
However, before we find out what you did this week, let’s take a look at who made this week’s feature.
Let's see who made this week's feature
Last week as you know was a special holiday quilts link up. As a reminder, you can always link up older quilts, and even not-quite-so-finished quilts each week so feel free to dig through your quilt closet and find matching quilts whenever we have one of these special Wednesday Wait Losses.
First up is Lisa Marie, who shares her quilts through Flickr. If you can, click the photos below to visit her on Flickr and leave a nice comment. If you can’t, leave a comment here for her!
Next is Chris @ Chris Knits Sews, who shared a whole post full of Christmas quilts! Here’s o couple of them…visit Chris’ blog to see the other beauties and to leave a comment.
Next is Melva @ Melva Loves Scraps who, thanks to our encouragement, finished a tutorial for an adorable mug rug. As you can see, it’s easy to modify the fabric requirements so you can make a table topper instead. Visit her blog to learn how!
Next up is Karrin @ Karrins Crazy World. Karrin’s world is filled with Christmas quilts and an adorable Christmas village! Here are two of the quilts. You simply have to visit her blog to see more.
Believe it or not, the quilt here on the left was quilted by Bonnie Hunter! Visit Karrin to learn more.
Next is Nancy @ Grace and Peace Quilting, who shared a blog post filled with Christmas quilts. Here’s a beautiful quilt she photographed at a covered bridge she was visiting. You know how much I love covered bridges!
Visit Nancy’s blog to see her other Christmas quilts.
Next, Suz @ Desert Sky Quilts stopped by and shared a blog post filled with her lovely Christmas quilts. Here’s a cutie. Stop by her blog to see the rest!
Lastly, Deanna @ Daughters of Dorinda shared these holiday camp quilts. What’s a camp quilt? You’ll have to stop by her blog to find out! <grin>
Congratulations ladies! Here's an I Was Featured badge for your blogs or to simply print out and wear with pride! Thank you for supporting my blog!
So who won the giveaway?
Last week on Wednesday Wait Loss, if you linked up a holiday quilt then you got two chances to win. If you linked up any other quilt, you got one chance. Up for grabs was a set of three fat quarters!
As usual, I assigned numbers to each entry and then let Random.org select the winner.
Congratulations Nancy! Send me an email with your postal address and I’ll get your prize in the mail to you.
As a reminder, some of you who have won previous months have not emailed me your address (or I’ve misplaced it <grin>). So if you haven’t gotten your prize yet, please email me as soon as you can. Thanks!
Next Week is the100th week of Wednesday Wait Loss!
Next week, Wednesday Wait Loss will be 100! Yep, next week will mark the 100th Wednesday Wait Loss so if you didn’t win this time, don’t worry because I’m going to have another giveaway.
I’m thinking about something special so I won’t announce it right now. But be sure to come back next week and link up!
Do you like these special link ups? Let me know in the comments
I’m thinking about continuing this next year, but shaking it up a bit. Please let me know the types of quilts you’d like to see featured each month.
