Welcome to Wednesday Wait Loss. I can’t wait to see what you’ve been working on!
First let me tell you what I've been up to
Last week I completed my November Island Batik challenge! The challenge was to make a log cabin quilt, and I designed a wall hanging just in time for Christmas!
My quilt features the Alpine Jingle fabric collection, and I call it “Christmas in the Cabin.” You can read more about it here.
On Monday, I recapped my goals for November. How did I do? You can read all about it here. On Friday I’ll compile a list of my goals for December so be sure to come back.
Over the weekend I met online with my Partners in Design and we finalized our plans for next year’s quilt along. Watch for an announcement early next year.
Well that was my week. How did your week go?
Before we find out what you did this week, let’s take a look at who made this week’s feature.
Let's see who made this week's feature
This week is all about finishes! I’m so happy to share these with you, with the hope they will encourage you to finish your UFOs too!
First up is Laura @ Slice of Pi Quilts, who shared two quilt finishes with us last week—a Dahlia mini quilt and Turning Tiles, a quilt that’s appearing now in McCall’s Quilting magazine!
Next is Melva @ Melva Loves Scraps, who shared her Let’s Go Camping quilt which is finally finished!
Finally is Kathleen @ Kathleen McMusing who shared her Fireworks Mystery quilt! I don’t know about you, but I’ve been seeing these all over Instagram and I just love them. I really love the fabrics Kathleen chose.
Congratulations ladies! Here's an I Was Featured badge for your blogs or to simply print out and wear with pride! Thank you for supporting my blog!
Our final special link up of the year is next month
Our next special Wednesday Wait Loss will be on December 19th and we’ll be celebrating Holiday quilts! I know it’ll be a hectic week for all of us, but I hope you’ll take the time to stop by my blog and share your Holiday (Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, New Year’s) quilts and stories.
Do you like these special link ups? Let me know in the comments.
I’m thinking about continuing this next year, but shaking it up a bit. Please let me know what you’d like to see.
Time to link up!
