Welcome to Wednesday Wait Loss. I can’t wait to see what you’ve been working on!
First let me tell you what I've been up to
On Saturday, I recapped my October goals to see how well I did on completing them.
On Monday, I listed my November goals, and not surprisingly perhaps, it’s quite a list! I’m going to need a lot of good Wait Loss Wednesday mojo to get everything I need to get done this month!
Good news though! Last week I completed something on the November to-do list! I finished writing a pattern for Timeless Treasures that they will soon be offering for free download beginning in January. As soon as it’s available, I’ll let you know.
It’s cute as a button and all summery and beachy. In January I’m betting you’ll be in the mood to make something like that!
Well, that was my week!
Before we find out what you did this week, let’s take a look at who made this week’s feature.
Let's see who made this week's feature
Up first is Yvonne @ Sew Yummy who shared her Galaxy quilt top, which she completed at a recent quilt retreat. She also worked on a Geometric Graduation 2 quilt, and a Mary’s Strippie quilt. That’s a lot to get done in a weekend! Drop by Yvonne’s blog and see the photos of the beautiful retreat place. Gorgeous!
Next up is Gail @ De Jong Dream House, who shared her Scrappy Buffalo Plaid quilt with us. Gail also shared a great tip for sewing a tricky block so drop by her blog to learn what it is.
Next is Denise @ For the Love of Geese, who shared her new quilt Xando. Denise has a pattern coming out for this one soon. Drop by her blog to learn more.
Cathy is new to Wednesday Wait Loss and had some trouble linking up, so she emailed me her photo and I linked it up for her. As a reminder, you can always email me a photo if you have trouble sharing it on Wednesday Wait Loss!
I don’t want anything getting in the way of you sharing your projects with us, especially when you make a quilt from one of my patterns! I love Lorna’s Dog Gone Cute quilt and I like my little floppy eared dog so this quilt Cathy made is a triple winner with me!
What makes this quilt even more special is that it was auctioned off for charity.
Congratulations ladies! Here's an I Was Featured badge for your blogs or to simply print out and wear with pride! Thank you for supporting my blog!
Our next special link up is November 21st
Our next special Wednesday Wait Loss is November 21st and we’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving and harvest quilts. Thanksgiving is celebrated here in the states, and to us it is a celebration of food and family, featuring turkeys, corn, bread stuffing, cranberries, pumpkins and other foods harvested in the fall. We also celebrate the American Indian at Thanksgiving, without who’s help the first pioneers would never have made it through those difficult first winters in a new land. Most cultures celebrate harvest time with some kind of festival, and I’d love to hear stories about that as well!
As usual, if you link up a quilt that somehow reminds you of Thanksgiving or harvest time, it’ll count as two chances in my giveaway. Other quilts linked up will count as one chance.
Time to link up!
Now it’s your turn to link up your works in progress and recently completed quilts! Here are some quick reminders about the linky party:
