My October Goals

Time to list my goals for October! I hope to get the following done:

  • Make the September block for Bee Inspired. The first queen for September was Irene @ Patchwork and Pastry and she wants a white log cabin block with skinny strips like these.

  • Quilt samples for an upcoming workshop. These table runners, based on my Peppermint Twist and Water Vortex patterns remain on my list but I’d sure like to make some progress on them!

  • Make a quilt for the Island Batik challenge for October. The challenge for Island Batik Ambassadors for October is to make quilt using paper piecing. This will be fun!

  • Write up a few new patterns for quilts I've designed. I'm being featured at Always in Stitches in October (the shop where I work) and so I wanted to write up some new patterns for my quilts. I’m happy to announce that I got two new patterns written and tested by the end of the month! Yeah, I’ve been busy. <grin> I’ll be making some official announcements soon with a limited time discount on the patterns so be sure to watch my blog.

  • Make more blocks for my Happy Go Lucky quilt. I have gotten quite a few blocks done for this quilt along, but I have more to make.

  • Make the two October blocks for the Fall into a Quilt Along The first of these blocks was released on October 2nd--Autumn Harvest Barn. The last block in the quilt along will be released on October 16th, along with setting suggestions for the blocks. So I’ve got to make another block and get my top sewn together!

  • Release two new patterns. I’m the featured artist at Always in Stitches this month, and I wrote two new patterns. When they are ready, I’ll make them available in my shop. At that time, I’ll be offering them for a discount, so be sure to watch my blog.

  • Write two new patterns for Timeless Treasures. I’m happy to announce that two of my designs were selected for free download patterns for upcoming Timeless Treasures fabric collections. The fabrics will be released at Quilt Market so I have two new patterns to write this month.

  • Write three new patterns for Island Batik. Three of my designs were recently selected for the Spring/Summer 2019 catalog so I’ve got to write the patterns, and later this month when the fabrics arrive, begin making the quilts.

I had pretty good luck in September, so wish me good luck in October too!
