This has been a happy, busy week! Today, I’m guest blogging on RJR Fabrics’ blog, Quilt with Love. In my post, I present an easy tutorial for making a quick flannel blanket using RJR’s lovely Afternoon in the Attic flannel collection.
I hope you’ll stop by the Quilt with Love blog today! At the top of the post, there’s a link to a free downloadable pattern for the flannel blanket so if you don’t need to make one right now you can save it for someday. I've got a couple of "some days" right now, as two of my nieces are pregnant! Really, this project couldn't have come at a better time.
Like I said, it’s been a busy week! If you’ve missed any of my recent posts, here’s what they were all about:
The 12 Days of Christmas Blog hop ended last week, but the winners announcement is tomorrow, so don't forget to check back on Friday if you entered the giveaways.
- The I Wish You a Merry QAL started yesterday with the first block release and the Facebook group is alive with gorgeous blocks. Don’t miss out on the fun!
- My weekly Wednesday Wait Loss link up is open and I hope you’ll join us by sharing a photo of a current quilty project. We have a great group of gals and you’re sure to get a lot of encouragement there to get over the “wait” and get that long unfinished project done!
- I just received my second box of lovely batiks from Island Batik! To shake things up, I even made a video. You have really got to watch this one because my daughter did such a great job on it, especially after I flubbed up. <grin>
- I belong to Bee Inspired, and online bee and I recently blogged about my turn at Hive Queen and the wonderful blocks I received. Here’s my sample block, my own version of a modern Irish Chain.
Finally, on the quilting front, I've been working on my Island Batik challenge for this month. I’m quilting it now and will be blogging the finish soon. It’s super special so I hope you’ll come back to see it!
