Welcome to Wednesday Wait Loss, where you can share your works in progress and find the encouragement you need to get them done!
I’m preparing to leave soon for Spring Market, and I’m sewing several secret projects for some blog hops that are coming up. I’ve completed my pattern for the row by row quilt, In My Neighborhood, and I’m in the process of sewing up some HSTs for my wall hanging variation that I’ll be offering as a pattern during the hop. If you’re a regular follower of my blog, you’ve seen several clues to this pattern already; here’s another one.
My row goes up May 15th, and I hope you’ll come back to see it and my new pattern! I’ll be offering a discount on my wall hanging pattern during May, so don’t miss it. In the meantime, you can visit Cheryl @ Quilter Chic to find the patterns for the other rows.
I’ve also been writing up several new patterns that feature fabrics from Windham and RJR. Most of these are my own designs, but occasionally I’ll write the pattern for another designer. When I do that, I often sew up a test block so I can test the construction techniques. Here’s a test block for a new pattern that will feature a collection by Flaurie and Finch for RJR Fabrics that will debut at Market. This test block uses some scrap fabrics I had on hand, from the Sleeping Porch collection by Windham Fabrics. It's the cutest pattern isn't it?
Time for my weekly shout out! This week I want to feature one of our loyal participants—Jen at A Dream and a Stitch. Last week, Jen shared a wedding quilt in progress and HSTs from her Freefall project.
Congratulations Jen! Grab an “I Was Featured” button for your blog.
