My row pattern is called Home is Quilts. When I was thinking about my row, I just kept coming back to what means home to me, and that’s quilts!
My row features tiny quilts hanging on a fence, and although I provide yardage amounts, it can be made from scraps if you like. However I do advise you to use small scale prints for the quilts to keep things in proportion.
I got so excited when designing my row, I was inspired to create a wall hanging pattern! Wouldn’t this be the cutest quilt to hang in your sewing room?
Sorry for the lousy photo. I took this on Mother's Day, and it was bright so the colors got a bit washed out. And it was also windy, so the flimsy fluttered like a flag. With my daughter's help though, I at least got a few decent shots. She was such a jewel for helping.
I just couldn't find the time to get this one quilted before rushing off to Quilt Market later this week. But I'll be sure to show it again when I do.
I hope you’ll stick around this week because I’ve got a lot going on! Wednesday is Wait Loss Wednesday, where you can link up your works in progress and share in the ongoing fun. It’s also the day I leave for Spring Market in St. Louis! I’ve never been so I don’t have any idea what to expect except a whole lot of fun! Here on my blog I’ll be sharing all the new fabrics, tools, and quilt books and super inspiring quilts that make Market so special. As a pattern designer, I'll be mostly looking at the fabrics and quilts on display in the fabric manufacturers' booths, but I'll also be sharing the things that catch my eye. Like you, I love a good tool or a good book that inspires!
Thursday is another blog hop--Art with Fabric. So I hope you'll come back to see who inspired me and what I made! Did I mention this is a busy week? <grin>
