Wednesday Wait Loss 10

Welcome to Wednesday Wait Loss. For those of you who are new to my linky party, WWL is designed for you to share your WIPs, and to find the encouragement you need to get over whatever’s making you wait and not finish on a project. Need help fixing a block, deciding on a border, or gathering the courage to cut up that gorgeous fabric you’ve been hording for years? The Wednesday Wait Loss linky party is exactly what you need!

Wednesday Wait Loss

For me, this linky party has been doing wonders. Each week it’s held me accountable to my projects, and one by one I’m getting them done! As you can see, I’ve made some progress on my latest WIP, Moroccan Tiles. I got all the blocks done! Woot, woot!

So now I’ve got to sew the blocks together and add the three borders. Moroccan Tiles is an original design, inspired by the Kashmir collection from Windham Fabrics. Here’s what it’ll look like when I get it done.

Here are the blocks laid out on my design wall. By next week, I hope to sew the blocks together and add the three borders.

To celebrate my progress on Moroccan Tiles, I’m having a giveaway—three fat quarters from the Twilight collection by Windham Fabrics. To enter, all you gotta do is link up a current WIP! The contest will run for six weeks—this is the second week. You get one chance for each WIP you link up (up to three each week). The last week of the contest will be May 10th; I’ll announce the winner on May 17th.

Time for our weekly feature! I’d like to give a shout out this week to Susan @ Sevenoaks Street Quilts. Susan has been a faithful supporter of WWL and last week she blew me out of the water with this gorgeous finish! Isn't it awesome?

Congratulations Susan! I can’t wait to see what you’ll share with us this week. Help yourself to an “I Was Featured” button for your blog!

Here are the projects that received the most hugs in last week’s voting. I hope you’re all feeling the love!

Well, it’s time to link up. The linky will be open until Friday, April 14th at midnight EST. If you need help, click here for detailed steps. If you run into difficulties, you can email me your link! Voting starts after the linky closes and runs until Tuesday, April 18th at midnight EST.

Here are some quick reminders:

  • This linky is all about encouraging finishes, so please visit a few of the links and leave a comment.
  • Some participants are uploading photos and not linking to a blog post or an Instagram/Flickr post. If that’s you, leave a comment below that explains your project. And for the rest of us, please reply to a few of these comments leaving words of encouragement for a quick finish.
  • Please link back to my post somewhere in your blog post or use @inquiringquilter and #wedwaitloss to tag me in your Instagram/Flickr post.

Again, the linky will be open until Friday, April 14th at midnight EST, then voting continues until Tuesday, April 18th at midnight EST. Come on, let’s finish our WIPs together!

My little kitty is sorry to say that my commenting system has decided towork only part-time.  Please know that your comments mean the world to me.  As I continue to work on the issue, here are some tricks to try. First, copy your text before you click Post Comment. If the Name/Email box does not appear after 30 seconds, refresh the page, paste your comment, then click Post Comment again. That usually wakes up the Comment Fairy. If that doesn't work, I hope you will return tomorrow to comment and to see what's new on my blog! Please leave your mail address so I can thank you personally for going to so much trouble to leave a comment!
