I'm on Cloud9!

The New Quilt Bloggers blog hop just ended, but lucky for me, we’re not done! The bloggers participating in the hop were recently offered a chance to design a quilt block inspired by a hand-selected group of Cloud9 fabrics from their Organic Cirrus Solids collection.

2016 New Quilt Bloggers

Our blog hop hosts, Cheryl, Stephanie, and Yvonne have curated a special fabric bundle for the hop which they are calling “Berry Harvest.” Aren’t these fabrics simply yummy?

I’ve already been working hard on my block design, but I can’t show you just yet! Our block designs will be revealed in September during the Cloud 9 Block blog hop. Each designer will feature a tutorial that walks you through the process of making their block. So at the end of the hop, you’ll have a wonderful collection of 12” block patterns!

Before this hop, I’d heard of Cloud9 but I didn’t know much about them. Turns out, Cloud9 fabrics is pretty cool—they are the leading source of organic cotton fabrics dyed with low-impact, eco-friendly dyes. Since my daughter is an Environmental Science major, the connection is really meaningful to me. It’s also cool that the blocks we make for the hop will be collected and made into quilts for charity. I just love using my quilting to give back!

So mark September 12-14 on your calendar, and come back for all the fun!
