Through My Camera Lens

Occasionally I like to wander around seeing what my camera gets inspired by. A few months ago I was at a retreat with my bee mates at a lake house. It was lovely there, and a great place to take a walk. Or so I thought. More on that in a minute. First, some eye candy!

The first night, we had this lovely sunset. Yum! Wouldn’t a quilt made with these colors be wonderful?

During our walk, I saw this cottage. The sky was so deep and magnificent!

I love the detail on this garden gate.

This old barn was so lovely, and I think it would make a sweet quilt. So peaceful.

You can’t go on a nature walk without seeing some nature.

I loved how the branches of this old tree looked against that brilliant sky.

Don’t forget to look down!

A final sunset. Completely different colors, and just as beautiful. Again, what lovely colors for a quilt!

So. I said the lake was a lovely place to take a walk. And it was, until my foot slipped off the edge of the road and I fell, scrapping my arm and my knee and banging myself up quite a bit. I also damaged my camera, although it still works. Sigh. These kinds of things make me feel old although I'm not. Needless to say, I haven't taken a long walk for quite a while. First I hurt too much and then it got hot.

So come on fall! I'd like to go walking again but not in this heat. Don't worry though--I know better than to take my eyes off my feet. <grin>
