Pulse Quilt Update and Two Blog Hops!

By now you’ve most likely heard about the response world-wide by quilters to the horrendous shootings in Orlando. Quilters everywhere are sending their love and heart blocks to the Modern Quilt Guild of Orlando, who is organizing a drive to create a quilt for the survivors, victim’s families, and everyone who rushed to help.

It’s not too late to send heart blocks—they are due August 15th. If you want to make a quilt like me, you have until September 15th to send it in. Yesterday, I cut out all my fabrics for my Pulse quilt.

Then it only took me an afternoon to sew the blocks together.

I’ve got some work things to get done, but I hope to get the top together this week. It’s my own design, so we’ll have a big reveal once I get the top done.

Switching topics, it’s been two weeks off, but the New Quilt Bloggers Hop is back with a bang! If you want to meet some great new quilt bloggers, be sure to visit these lovely ladies from my hive, Mis-Bee Havin’:

Also if you want to meet some awesome experienced quilt bloggers and have a chance to win some great prizes, please visit our blog hop hosts Cheryl, Stephanie, and Yvonne.
