Regardless of how you make HSTs, you can trim them to size quickly by simply marking your ruler in a special way.
Most methods for making HSTs result in an HST that's too big. Trim them to size by following these steps.
If you are making a quilt that utilizes a lot of similar looking HSTs, make them eight at a time using this method.
Your stitches won't show if you use the applique (blind) stitch to attach a quilt sleeve, label, binding, or applique.
Make your quilt ready for a show by adding a 4" sleeve.
With the right tools and the proper technique, paper piecing is easy and a great technique to add to your quilting arsenal.
Need to make a lot of HSTs fast? Try this method, which makes four identical HSTs at a time.
This method for making half-square triangles makes two identical HSTs at a time. This is a good method to use if you're making a scrappy quilt that uses HSTs.
